Megan got her degree in Environmental Science, but her real passion is in Marine Biology. This has earned her the title of "Sea-Star" - because it sounds like "sister", and ya know, it's a thing that lives in the ocean. Perfect. Now that her college years have officially ended, she's swimming in this great big ocean as an adult...and we couldn't be more proud.
Unfortunately, we were unable to be at her actual graduation ceremony (thankfully my parents were there!)...but we were certainly there in spirit. I had Jury Duty (of ALL things...) and other obstacles stood in our way of being there, but we saw countless photos and heard some awesome stories of the weekend. Seeing her in a cap and gown brought me right back to my own graduation 3 years ago...and I remember what a crazy, amazing, and overwhelming day it was. She moved back to California the day after - talk about a huge transition. But of course, we were all here waiting for her - family, friends, and her Cali home.
If you know the Nolet family, you know that we jump on any excuse to throw a party...and a graduation is top of the list. We had a fun day prepping for it, including picking up some AWESOME whale cupcakes from Sweet Tooth Confections - how cute are these?!
It was great having a bunch of our friends there (some of our favorites who we're happy to say are Megan's friends now, too!) - Tyler, Jenny, Jason, Brittany, Steven, Karla and their little man - JUDAH! He was definitely the star of the show; everyone couldn't help but give him a hug and hold him! My mom hogged him most of the night, we think she might have massive baby fever...

All in all, we're SO HAPPY to have her home. And at the end of this summer, we won't have to say goodbye...which is the best feeling in the world. Welcome home, Sea-Star. :)
Until our next crazy Nolet party,
C+T.
