Hi, October. It's pumpkin time.

Wow, can't believe it's already OCTOBER. Even though it's still 80 degrees outside (California seems to have a hard time letting go of summer), October is when we really start getting into the festive Fall spirit...and that means PUMPKINS.

We wasted no time. It's October 1st, our local pumpkin patch officially opened...and that's exactly where we spent our Tuesday night. Queen's Pumpkin Patch on Saratoga Avenue is one of our favorites - it's always full of "character"...literally. This year they went with the princess/villain theme, so we got to pumpkin shop with Cinderella and Ursula. Gotta love it.

And of course, there's always the classic pony rides and Charlie Brown characters in the mix.

Ultimately, we have a lot of childhood fun at the pumpkin patch. I love picking out the mini pumpkins that are so cute, and Trav likes buying the weird looking ones, like the ones with GIANT stems. I don't know why, but it's kind of endearing that he likes the odd ones...it's sort of like he's rescuing them, since they likely wouldn't get bought by anyone else. That, or he's just a weirdo too.
Our little pumpkin family!
Looking forward to seeing what the rest of this beautiful month brings! Happy October, friends!

Until we carve these bad boys,
C+T.
