The fountain that started it all.

Yep, that's the one. The famous fountain that started it all. It's the best darn fountain we've ever seen, but we're a little biased. 

It was a random night in October/November (we can't remember the exact night) when we hung out for the first time alone, and really had a chance to talk and get to know each other...and since we really didn't have many other places to go, we walked around Santa Clara University's campus for a good 4 hours. Somehow, around 2am (sorry mom!) we landed ourselves at this fountain, which was our spot for the next 2 hours. We were interrupted by a security guard who came up to us - we thought we were going to get kicked off campus (because I'm sure we weren't supposed to be wandering around that late), but instead he chit-chatted with us a little bit and told us about the meteor shower that was happening that night! We still remember him - we say he and the fountain tag-teamed it and helped us start this whole thing. ;)

Fast-forward about 8 months - we were officially graduating from SCU together as a couple, not even knowing that the next 2 years would bring us to where we are today! SCU gave us some of the best years of our lives, and we love being college sweethearts and having our matching diplomas (aside from him being a Business major, and me an English major) hang side by side. Cheesy, nauseatingly sweet, or just plain cute...we've heard it all, and we're proud as can be. 

Due to our increasing nostalgia, every September as all the new Broncos move in to their dorms on campus, unaware of the amazing adventure lying ahead of them, we sit at that fountain and remember all the magic. We did it in 2012 for the first time, a year after graduation, and decided to make an annual tradition out of it. We snap a quick selfie, and we can't wait to watch our album grow year after year - what a fun thing to look at 20 years from now. :) Hopefully we can keep it up...and not look like the creepy old people hanging out on a college campus. We'll pretend we're teachers.

We're looking forward to watching the campus change even more each year we visit...and we're extra excited to bring our children there one today and show them Mommy & Daddy's fountain  - cue the "eww, gross!!" kiddie response. Can't. Wait.
