2 new furbabies.

Yep, it's true...the Yeager family has grown by two adorable little kittens. Well, I shouldn't say kittens as much as I should say teenagers - they're a year old. While they may look like adult cats, their personalities say otherwise...

We knew we were in need of some house mates, and since babies are still pretty far in the future and dogs wouldn't like us being gone all day at work, cats came into the picture. We didn't intend to get two of them until we went to a kitty fair at PetSmart and fell in love with a little princess named Rain:

She's a fancy little tabby with a sassy but lovable personality. The second we saw her, she ran right up to us purring and meowing to be pet. We knew she would end up coming home with us eventually, but the rescue group that was fostering her informed us that she had a sister! While they weren't bonded per se, they certainly were buddies. We ended up going to the foster home to see them both, and that's where we met part two:

This is Storm. She was a bit shy at first, but now is the most cuddly (and fluffy!) creature ever. She'll follow you around like a dog and get as close to you as possible just to be pet. She's extremely playful and lovable, and I just loooove cuddling her until she gets annoyed with me and goes to Travis.

Their rescuers named them Rain and Storm because they were rescued in a huge rain storm with their mom. We're still debating on whether or not to change the names, so we have a few options in the works!

They both love cardboard boxes, the fish tank, tummy rubs and cuddling with each other (which almost always turns into wrestling). They can be mischievous at times, but they know when they're in trouble and usually make it up to us with their cuteness.

We're now getting used to life as new kitty parents. We no longer get alarmed when the sisters decide to host the Kitty Olympics and run laps in our living room at 4am, or when they meow incessantly every time they walk into our bathroom (it's as if they think they're lost), or when they walk across my computer while I'm trying to write a blog because we're not paying enough attention to them. As silly as they are, we love our furbabies and can't wait to have them grow up with us.
