Judah Zeier.

He's finally here. Travis and I have been soooo excitedly waiting for this moment...when little Baby Z entered our world. From the second Karla and Steven became our best friends, there was not a doubt in our minds that one day they would become the best parents. We were so right.

Rewind a week - Karla's due date was creeping up, and we could tell it was only a matter of time. When we got the text from Steven on Tuesday morning that Karla had been having consistent contractions all night, we were so excited!! However, Baby Z had a different agenda. He was happy as can be inside Karla, and unfortunately, that led to 3 different hospital visits and 63.5 hours (insane, I know!!) of labor. Steven kept us updated via text the whole time, and we felt a whole slough of emotions...excited, anxious, nervous, happy, tired, frustrated, and euphoric all at once...which probably doesn't even cover the surface of what the parents were feeling. I had the hardest time sleeping that whole week, just knowing what my best friend was going through. Luckily, she had the support of Steven, who was an incredible husband and coach the entire time.

Early Thursday morning, we got THE text - it was go time! I jetted to the hospital and waited patiently with all of Karla & Steven's sweet friends and family, and I'll never forget the moment we got the notification that Baby Z was officially here! Watching Karla & Steven's parents rejoice over officially claiming the title as grandparents, watching all the aunts and uncles and family members hug and cheer...it was truly a magical moment. When the new dad came out, I could barely contain my tears. He was certainly exhausted, but he was sooo happy. He showed us a few pictures before the big moment...the name annoucement.

Karla and Steven had told us from day one that they were not going to tell ANYONE the name of the baby until he was born. This is a big decision for future parents - to tell the name or not - and we were never one way or another on it. To each their own! But seeing Steven come out, sit with all of us and tell us the story of how they found this name made us realize how special it is to have that moment. The name was their secret for 9 months, something only they as parents shared, and this was Steven's first daddy moment to really introduce his son to all of his family and friends. Karla's sister Gina even said "I got chills!" And I'm sure it was quite an amazing moment for Steven as well. :)

One thing that's certain - this baby will be SO loved. Karla and Steven are already incredible parents, but little Judah will one day discover just how many kind and generous family members and friends he is surrounded by...and we can't express how grateful and humbled we are to be a part of that.

Steven, Karla & Judah Zeier - we love you all more than words in a blog can express. Thank you for blessing our lives so much. We cannot wait to watch Judah grow up to be just like his Mommy and Daddy.

Until our next baby adventure,
C+T,
